Frank Weber – The Old Man

Steely Dan loomed large over Westcoast music in the 70s and early 80s. Not many could come close to replicating that sound and few tried. New York singer/songwriter/ pianist Frank Weber gave it a good try in 1980. The Old Man from the 2nd LP, Frank Weber, is an homage to his father over a jazzy melancholy vibe played with precision by the fusion players of the day. Frank disappeared from music not long after this LP and not much is known about him, adding mystery to his music.
